How to Protect Kids from Sunburn

Children’s skin is more delicate and sensitive to UV rays, making sun protection essential during outdoor activities.

Dress your child in lightweight, long-sleeved clothing, and a wide-brimmed hat. Sunglasses with UV protection are also recommended.

Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50+ formulated for kids. Apply it generously 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 2 hours.

Avoid sun exposure during peak UV hours (10 AM to 4 PM). Seek shade whenever possible and use umbrellas or pop-up tents during beach trips.

If sunburn does happen, treat it gently with cool compresses and moisturizers. Seek medical advice if blistering or fever occurs.
